Player’s Code of Conduct

Players should recognize that they are part of a team; they share in its successes and failures. Fair play and co-operation is to be encouraged at all times.


(i) Treat coaches, teammates, match officials, and opposition with respect always
(ii) Play by the rules, respect the laws of the game
(iii) Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your team’s performance will benefit and so will your own.
(iv) Winning is only part of it. Having fun, improving skills, making friends and doing your best are also important.
(v) Never ridicule other participants. Cheer on all good plays, both for your team and the opponents.
(vi) Remember that volunteer coaches and officials are there to help you.
(vii) Act with sportsmanship, avoiding the use of violent conduct or offensive language. Referee abuse is not an acceptable behavior.
(viii) Adhere to Canada Soccer’s requirements regarding uniform and equipment
